1 Cross + 3 Nails = 4given

Happy (almost) Easter! Before you start to worry about all you still have to do like cooking, baking, Easter bunny, egg hunt, and Sunday service, take a second (or five) to remember that this Sunday is different than others. Easter Sunday is all about Jesus rising from the dead! He came into this world as the most vulnerable form a human will ever be; He was a baby born to a woman. I believe this is important. God sent His Son Jesus to preach the word of God, to live by the Word and what better way to do so than to humble himself so greatly that his entrance into this world was no different than anyone else. I also, find it interesting to note that Jesus was born through a woman who was not royal or rich, further allowing even the poorest to relate. Jesus came down from Heaven so that we as humankind could be made aware of our sins, learn about the Word of God, confess our sins, and do our best to live as God commands us to. He died because of those unwilling to accept a higher power than themselves, those unwilling to change their sinful ways. Jesus was crucified for doing what His Father commanded; preach my Word, teach my children, lead them to Me. While Jesus' earthly body perished on the cross, the tomb could not hold Him! Jesus beat death and returned to show His followers that he had risen and was returning to Heaven, just as we can do so long as we follow God. God found mankind worthy of forgiveness. He created us in His image, he wants us to go to Heaven. So, take a minute to thank God for sending His Son to die on the cross for our sins, for loving us, for blessing us, and have a very Happy Easter!!
