You know those days when nothing goes right and all you want to do is crawl into bed and cry? Maybe it's because your boss doesn't know you've existed for the last five years, or maybe that coworker who was helping you with a presentation called in sick after taking home the documents and flash drive with the presentation on it. Perhaps you're a parent to a teenager who just decided that you have no right to talk to them--ever again--or you're the parent of kid(s) that thinking screaming incessantly is the solution to all! Maybe you couldn't hold it in any longer and you screamed, then realized that that level of perfection you've been trying so hard to obtain is now even further out of sight. You want to know why, am I right? Because you're HUMAN! Yup, you are not God. None of us are. That's what makes Christianity so fantastic! There is only one God and we aren't Him. While at times that statement itself can bring us down, it should do nothing but lift us up. God is so much better than we could ever be, at everything! His plans for our lives are greater than we could ever imagine and His blessings are sweeter than we ever thought possible. So apologize for screaming, keep busting your butt (for God and you, not just your boss), hug and pray for your children, and try to focus on turning your thoughts to God's promises. It may take a while to discover what God is trying to tell you, but know this: God is still listening to you. He still knows your heart. He still knows your thoughts. He still knows you. He still loves you. He knows you just want an end to the hurt and frustration. Rest assured that the answer to finding God's peace is found right in his love letter to humanity; the Bible. Your answer might just lie in the book of Philippians; peace that surpasses understanding. This is, after all, what we all desperately need. In a world full of arguments, hate, war and sadness, it is impossible to understand each single little thing that we as people are constantly smacked in the face (gut, heart, any body part will work) with. Trying to figure it out without God's guidance can cause us even more heartache. So, courtesy of God's Word:
And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:7
